DECOLONIAL POETICS IN THE ARTS OF THE SCENE: IDENTITY AND PERFORMATIVITY
The research project “Decolonial Poetics in the Arts of the Scene: Identity and Performativity” intends to investigate poetic manifestations from the field of scenic arts, taking as reference decolonial studies, the Ritual Theater (HADERCHPEK, 2021), and Performance (SCHECHNER, 2002; COHEN, 2002). Along the research, political and symbolic aspects of the ritualistic scene shall be analyzed, taking into consideration personal narratives and dialogues developed with researchers from the Master’s degree and Doctorate joined to UFRN, UERJ, the actors from the Arkhétipos Group (Brazil) and those from the BIMPHADI Group (Angola). The research, of an experimental character, shall be founded on a rigorous bibliographic research, establishing parallels between laboratory practice developed by the professor-researcher and the concepts which permeate this study. The intent of this research project is to provide theoretical-practical support for artists-researchers from Brazil and Angola interested in this inter-relation between Theater, Ritual and Performance.
